Asus has added to its portfolio of laptops in India with three new launches. The laptops launched are the ZenBook 14 (UX434), ZenBook 15 (UX534), and ZenBook Flip 13 (UX362). All these laptops will come with NanoEdge displays. They will feature narrow bezels and will be powered by Intel’s 8th Gen CPUs. The ZenBook 14 and 15 models will also sport the ScreenPad 2.0 technology by Asus. The Asus ZenBook Flip 13 comes at a starting price of Rs. 76,990; the ZenBook 14 starts at Rs. 79,990 and the ZenBook 15 comes with a starting price tag of Rs. 1,19,990. The three new laptops from Asus will be available through online channels such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Paytm Mall.

The ZenBook 14 (UX434) and the ZenBook 15 (UX534) were announced during Computex this year. The laptops pack in a four-sided NanoEdge display with slim bezels and offer a 95 percent screen body ratio. As a result, even the 14-inch model of the Asus laptops are claimed to be smaller than most 13-inch laptops. The company also claims that the 15-inch model is almost equal to the size of a typical 14-inch laptop. The laptops are equipped with ScreenPad 2.0 technology which means that it has a 5.65-inch touchscreen display that replaces the quintessential trackpad. The laptop will also come with special utilities such as Quick Key. This will enable the users to automate complex keyboard sequences into a one-tap action. It also offers handwriting for natural text input, and Number Key for faster data entry.

As described earlier, both the models are powered by Intel’s 8th generation CPU. However, the ZenBook 14 comes in two CPU variants – a Core i7-8565U or a Core i5-8265U. While the ZenBook 15 is only available with the Core i7 CPU, all the laptops come with full-HD resolution and a 178-degree viewing angle. They are also adorned with a display that covers 72 percent of the NTSC colour gamut. The 14-inch model of the laptop comes with a Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card with 2GB GDDR5 RAM, 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 1TB or 512GB PCIe SSD, and a 50WHr battery. The 15-inch model is equipped with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q graphics card, 16GB of RAM, a 1TB PCIe SSD, and a 71WHr battery. Both the laptops sport IR cameras for Windows Hello, Bluetooth 5, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, multiple USB ports, including a Type-C port.

The ZenBook Flip 13 (UX362) was first announced at IFA 2018, last year and its launch in India has taken a long time since then. Asus claims that the laptop is the world’s most compact, convertible laptop due to its highly narrow bezels. The dimensions of the laptop are just 16.9mm in thickness and it weighs 1.3kg. The laptop is powered by either a Core i7 or Core i3 8th generation Intel CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB of PCIe SSD. As for its graphics, it is powered by the onboard Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU. The laptop sports a 13.3-inch, full-HD display, two USB Type-C ports, speakers from Harman Kardon, and a 50WHr battery.

“Since Indian market is of prime importance for us in ASUS, it has been our endeavor to meet the growing demands of the Indian consumers and provide them with the latest innovations,” said Arnold Su, Head of Consumer Notebooks and ROG Business, Asus India, in a statement.
