Taiwanese PC and tablet maker Asus has expanded its FonePad series with a launch of new variant of its entry-level tablet named FonePad 7 (FE10CG). The improved and dual-SIM variant is launched in Thailand at THB 4190 (approx. Rs. 7700). The single-SIM variant of FonePad 7 was unveiled globally by the company last month.
The new FonePad 7 sports a 7-inch WSVGA (1024×600 pixel) display resolution. Under the hood, there’s a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Hyper-Threading technology. The tablet is powered by 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box. There are two variants in terms of storage capacity- 4GB and 8GB. The company is also offering 5GB of Asus Webstorage cloud space for lifetime as well as an additional 11GB space for the first year. For imaging, there’s a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options include- WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and 3G.

The earlier variant of FonePad 7 (ME175CG) features 7-inch LED IPS display, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, dual-core Intel ‘Clover Trail+’ Atom Z2520 processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera and 3910mAh battery.
