by March 13, 2015

Apple recently launched the new MacBook with a 12-ich retina display. The gadget weighs just about 0.91kg and is 13.1mm thick, which makes it 24 percent slimmer than the earlier 11-inch MacBook Air. It is a known fact that the Apple has championed the art of producing slim and thin devices, but with this new MacBook, Apple has gone a step ahead with its own forte. The MacBook features a full-sized keyboard but has comparatively less number of ports. In terms of colours, Apple has kept it simple this time, you can choose between its standard colours, the natural silver, gold and space grey.

One of the major changes Apple planned to bring in with the release of this new laptop is to eliminate almost all physical connectors except the USB Type-C port needed for charging and connecting other devices. The USB 3.1 port offers a data transfer speed of up to 5GB per second.

In terms of looks, as always, Apple hits the nail right on the head. The sleek design, superior quality finish makes it a cynosure to the eye. What new does Apple offer? Well, open up the lid and you would surely be left stunned with the new Retina Display. The high quality display screen with a 2304 x 1400 pixel resolution, which is definitely a lot more than what the 11-inch MacBook Air has to offer at 1366 x 768 pixel. Covering the screen is an edge-to-edge glass with brightness that is in line with that of the Retina MacBook Pro.

The keyboard is equipped with full-size keys, but is much thinner than its predecessor model, MacBook Air 11-inch. Every keycap has its own LED. It might take a while for you to get accustomed to the keypad, but once you do it, you would surely realise it is much more efficient and is surely much more responsive and comfortable.

The track pad has a haptic response that feels just like a button click. However, it has no z-axis movement. Instead vibrations let your finger know that it just clicked the trackpad. And off course, there are the usual multi-touch gestures.

Apple has always been on the forefront in terms of offering only the best internal specifications, and this time too Apple hasn’t disappointed its millions of loyal customers from around the world. The new MacBook is available in 2 variants – one with a 1.1GHz Pentium M processor and the other with a slightly powerful processor clocked at 1.2GHz. However, both come with a storage space of 512GB and an 8GB RAM. The new battery promises to offer around 10 hours of movie playback or 9 hours of wireless web browsing.
