Tim Cook & company revealed a new generation of tablets with thinner & lighter iPad Air and much awaited iPad mini with retina display.

With iPad Air, Apple seems to have managed to revive interest in the large iPad front with reduced dimension, weight as well as price. As expected iPad Air is 20% thinner with 7.5mm thickness as compared to iPad 4 with 9.4 mm. It also is 28% lighter and weighs about 469 grams (WiFi). Apple claims the iPad Air as the thinnest full-sized tablet in the world.

On the iPad mini front, it comes with a retina display and twice the screen resolution than the previous version. Otherwise the device carries almost the same specs as its large tablet. iPad mini with retina display will come in Silver and Space Grey colors.
