A newly-released report by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in United States shows a gold version of the Apple iPhone X. Smartphone makers have to submit details with the FCC while launching any new device in the market. As per the latest report by FCC which was first spotted by MacRumors, Apple shared details of Gold coloured iPhone X in September 2017 but it didn’t make it to the market. The details shared by Apple with FCC contains several images of iPhone X Gold taken from various angles along with dimensions and some specifications. The images are available in public domain now as the 180 days confidentiality period is over.

The iPhone Gold did not make it to the market probably due to the production issue which may have arised from its Stainless Steel frame. In fact there were rumours prior to the launch that the iPhone X will launch in three colour variants- Gold, Silver and Space Grey. Apple launched the iPhone 8 in Gold colour but it came with Aluminium frame instead of Stainless Steel

Recently, there were rumours that Cupertino-based giant is planning to launch a New colour option, Blush Gold, to revive sales of its flagship iPhone X. Apple launched the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus PRODUCT(RED) special variants earlier this month on April 9. The company was expected to launch the new colour variant at the same time, but that didn’t happen. So, we’ll have to wait for a while to find out if the information is really true.
