iPhone SE 2 Casing

Rumors of Apple developing iPhone SE 2, the successor of iPhone SE, have been going around the internet for quite a while now. A new report has surfaced online regarding iPhone SE 2 by Macotakara (a Japanese blog), which states that the much awaited phone will be launched by next month i.e. right before the Apple’s WWDC 2018 keynote on June 4. It will look similar to its predecessor but will come without the 3.5mm headphone jack. So, if you are planning to buy the SE 2 then you may have to buy the wireless AirPods as well. Macotakara seems to have obtained the information from case makers present at Mobile Electronics Trade Show in Hong Kong.

The iPhone SE sequel will retain the general 4-inch form factor and Touch ID (which means there won’t be Face ID or notch). The entry-level phone will come with a glass back for wireless Qi charging. It will pick up the quad core Apple A10 Fusion SoC.

Overall it seems that the iPhone SE 2 will be a minor upgraded version of iPhone SE. This is similar to what Apple does with MacBook Air. The upgraded versions have minor enhancements in terms of specifications inside and the design remains pretty much the same as the predecessors. The only and the key incentive of the iPhone SE series is its price.

Well, these reports are to be taken with a pinch of salt and we may get some concrete information or may be an official teaser by next month. Stay tuned!
