Apple iPhone 6 celebrates 15th Anniversary of the Burj Al Arabby Abhishek P February 17, 2015
The Burj Al Arab, world’s only 7-Star hotel recently turned 15. Rather than making way for a huge cake or burning 15 cakes, the hotel authorities decided to create 15 units of the iPhone 6 in Yellow and Black Gold. A firm named Gold & Co London was commissioned the task to create the customized set of iPhones.
Gold & Co London is a London and Dubai-based manufacturer of Solid Gold editions of technology products. Currently the company is one of the largest supplies of gold plated gadgets in the world. Before working on the recent set of iPhone 6, Gold & Co London was the official supplier of gold plated iPads to Burj Al Arab. Its customer-base includes well known personalities from the entertainment industry, sport and the business arena.
Each unit requires 8 hours of production time with a Burj Al Arab logo placed on the rear. These units will exclusively be available for buyers only at the Burj Al Arab.
Talking about the price, the Black Gold option is expected to cost around $13000, while the glitzier Yellow Gold version comes with a price tag of $12200. In case that’s way beyond your budget, you might want to opt for the “Regular” yellow and black gold iPhones that cost somewhere around $6000.
In 2013, the company decided to make an entry in the American market with representation in Houston, Miami and LA. The GoldRush Rally 6 was sponsored by Gold & Co. London as a part of the launch. For years, the firm has been closely working with some of the top multinational companies such as Goldmund Audio and Nestle.
Gold & Co London is not the only luxury accessory maker supplying custom-made iPhone 6. Earlier, Givori, a U.S. based company had produced phantom black platinum version of the latest iPhone exclusively for the Dubai market. Walking on a similar path is Amosu who is gearing up to launch the world’s first Pink iPhone 6 this Valentine’s Day. However, it’s worth noting that only 10 units of the phone will be up for sales. So, if pink is something that makes you happy, book your pink iPhone right now before they are all gone. Amosu is the same company that launched the pink iPhone 5 a couple of years ago on the same day.
So, if you are one of those who don’t mind spending on the royals versions of gadgets, the iPhone 6 Gold Burj Al Arab edition is something you might want to bring home. But, don’t forget, there are just 15 pieces out there.
