Android 4.4 Kitkat OTA Update for Nexus 4 now reportedly available in India

kitkatGoogle officially announced the rollout of 4.4 KitKat OS for Nexus 7 and 10 tablets, earlier this month and now the search giant has finally begun rolling out its latest Android 4.4 KitKat over-the-air (OTA) to Nexus 4 handsets. The newly launched OS that came pre-installed with Nexus 5 is now available on other Google Nexus devices as well. The roll out is expected to take a week or more to complete.  The search giant has also rolled out a bug fix update for the users who already have KitKat 4.4.

HTC also recently announced that 4.4 KitKat update will be available for all it’s flagship products by January’14. Hopefully the new OS update will be available for Samsung Galaxy handsets like Galaxy S3/S4 and Note 2/3 etc. (that currently has 4.3 Jelly Bean update only), however there is no official word on the same. Samsung’s much anticipated Galaxy S5 might come with pre-installed 4.4 KitKat OS. Sony is also expected to follow the suit and to roll-out 4.4 KitKat to its flagship handsets including Xperia Z1 soon.
