The Chinese brand has unveiled a range of new smartwatches dubbed as Amazfit GTR Pro, GTR 3, and GTS 3. These latest additions to the smartwatch lineup are launched globally and the latter two are next in line with 2020’s GTR 2 and GTS 2. This year, Amazfit has introduced an all-new variant GTR 3 Pro with a range of premium features.

The upgraded variants come with a range of updated features compared to the previous models. There are also various new features that are added on these smart wearables. Xiaomi’s sub-brand is launching the new lineup with an all-new Zepp OS where the UI is completely revamped. Let’s dive into the key specs that are on offer.

Amazfit GTR 3 Pro, GTS 3, and GTR 3: Key specs & features

The GTR series come with a circular dial where the GTR Pro has a bigger 1.45” screen and the GTR 3 features a 1.39” panel. The AMOLED panel on both the variants goes up to a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and it also supports an always-on display. There will also be a range of watch faces that users will get to set up based on their preference. The all-new smart wearables are equipped with two physical buttons and come with an aluminum-alloy chassis. The straps are made out of silicon that are known for offering a comfortable wearing experience. One of the two physical buttons is a classic crown that is used to navigate through the options. Both the variants under the GTR series come with water resistance up to 5 ATM and users will also get the heart-rate tracking feature even while swimming.

The health features on the GTR 3 and GTR 3 Pro includes a 24*7 heart-rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood-oxygen level monitoring, and keeping track of the stress levels. These four health-centric features will be available just by a single tap and users will also get to track the menstruation cycle. When it comes to sports mode, these two variants will come with a total of 150 sports modes that are centered on the outdoors. There is also an eSport mode that will let you track the video games activities. Along with offering a VO2 Max sensor, both the wearables come with auto turn on feature for a total of 8 modes.

The GTR 3 and GTR 3 Pro comes with integrated Alexa support where it also supports offline voice assistant. Users will also get the speaker setup to receive phone calls and the onboard storage will be 2.3 GB. The smartwatches come with 450mAh battery along with integrated GPS. Amazfit claims to offer a 12 days battery life on a single charge for GTR 3 Pro whereas the GTR 3 will last for 21 days on a single charge.

Coming to the Amazfit GTR 3, the rectangular dial is 1.75” in size and produces HD resolution that will go up to a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The display panel will sport a pixel density of 341ppi. Along with AOD and integrated Alexa support, GTR 3 comes with a total of 100 watch faces. The health-centric features will be identical with the GTR series. The battery capacity is reduced to 250mAh and as per the company claims, it will last for 12 days on a regular use.

The all-new smart wearables from Amazfit come fully compatible with iOS and Android operating systems. With Bluetooth 5.1 onboard on the whole lineup, the GTR 3 Pro will also come with Wi-Fi connectivity. The Zepp OS will run all the three devices and will come with 60fps refresh rate for smooth animations. There will also be a few pre-installed apps such as calendar, calculator, etc. Amazfit claims that the new Zepp OS is focused on being more power efficient while offering an even better performance. The brand also promised to offer the web-based kit for the developers so that they get to create their own watch faces along with the apps.

Pricing and availability

The newly-launched smartwatch lineup from Amazfit comes with a premium price tag where the GTR 3 and GTS 3 are priced at $180, translates roughly to ₹13,558. The GTR 3 will be available in Moonlight Grey and Thunder Black color options. The GTS 3 is offered in Ivory White, Graphite Black, and Terra Rosa colors. The most premium from the lineup, GTR 3 Pro will come at a price tag of $229, translates roughly to ₹17,237. The color options are Brown and Black. The lineup is available in Italy, Spain, China, France, US, and UK. The brand has ensured that these smart wearables will soon be launched in the Indian market.
