If the year 2018 was about notched display, then the year 2019 will be of punch hole display. Alleged Nokia 8.1 Plus renders have been leaked online (courtesy popular tipster Onleaks and 91mobiles), which reveal hole-in-display design. As per the report, the phone’s model number is not yet certain, but it is likely to be the Nokia 8.1 Plus. Let’s have a look at some of the renders first before we discuss the details.

Nokia 8.1 Plus Leaked Renders

Based on the above renders, the Nokia 8.1 Plus will feature a large display (expected to be full HD+) with extremely thin bezels, a relatively thick chin and a cut-out at the top left corner for the selfie camera. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the left, while the 3.5mm headphone jack is placed on the top. The bottom features USB Type-C port along with bottom-firing speakers and a hole for he mic. The back seems to have a glass panel and features a vertically stacked dual camera set up with Zeiss lenses and dual LED flash, which is placed at the center and a fingerprint sensor placed just beneath the same. The back also features Nokia’s branding along with Android One logo, which means that the Nokia 8.1 Plus will be an Android Go device. As per @Onleak’s information, the phone will measure 156.9 x 76.2 x 7.9 mm in size without the camera bump and 9.5mm if you take into consideration the camera bump.

Although rumors and leaks are to be taken with a pinch of salt, @Onleaks has a proven track record of providing near accurate renders of yet-to-be launched devices. Thus, we feel that Nokia 8.1 Plus will look more or less the same. The official launch date of the device is not yet known, and we can expect a few teasers before the launch of the same.

That’s all we know so far about the upcoming Nokia 8.1 Plus. Keep watching this space for more updates.
