Airtel has partnered with Intex to roll out affordable 4G smartphones in India. The line-up includes Aqua Lions N1, Aqua A4, and Aqua S3 at an effective price of Rs 1649, Rs 1999, and Rs 4379 respectively.

These phones come with a Rs 169 bundled plan that offers unlimited calling and 500 MB 4G data per day for 28 days. This recharge has to be done every month for three years in this scheme.

The upfront payment for the Aqua Lions Ni is Rs 3149. For Aqua A4, it is Rs 3499. The Aqua S3 requires you to pay Rs 5879.

You will get a cash refund of Rs 500 after first 18 months and another Rs 1000 after 36 months, taking the total cash benefit to Rs 1500.

Running through the spec sheet of the phones, the Intex Aqua Lions N1 sports a 4-inch display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.1 GHz coupled with 1 GB RAM. It has 8 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via the microSD card slot. The phone sports a 2-megapixel rear facing camera along with a VGA front selfie shooter. It supports 4G VoLTE calling and includes connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. The 1400 mAh battery provides the essential juice to the device.

The Intex Aqua A4 too sports a 4-inch display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution. It however gets different internals as it is powered by a Spreadtrum quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz coupled with 512 MHz Mali MP2 GPU. It bears in 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 64 GB via the microSD card slot. On the photography front, it gets a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel selfie shooter. This one gets a 1750 mAh battery under its hood.

Coming to the costliest of the pack, the Intex Aqua S3 boasts of a bigger 5-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It is powered by a Spreadtrum quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz coupled with 512 MHz Mali MP2 GPU. It bears in 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 64 GB via the microSD card slot.

It gets a 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED Flash and f/2.0 aperture. The front selfie shooter is a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. It is a Dual-SIM phone with 4G VoLTE capabilities and includes connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio. The Aqua S3 gets the biggest battery among the lot, which is a 2450 mAh pack.
