With not too much of success, he finally decided to try his hands at novel writing and this is where his success journey starts. Baldacci has till date published over 20 novels. Absolute PowerAbsolute Power
Published in 1996, Absolute Power was Baldacci’s first novel. The bestseller talks about a fictional American President who along with his team of secret service agents is ready to kill people with an intention to cover up the death of a woman he was having an affair with. The story is fabulously structured with a lot of twist and turns. It is sure to keep you interested till the end. If suspense is something that thrills you the most, this one is truly a good read for you. Inspired by the book, a movie was released with the same name in 1997 starring Gene Hackman and Clint Eastwood.

The story is based on an impoverished woman LuAnn Tyler who comes across Jackson, a guy running a huge lottery scam. Jackson offers LuAnn a chance to win a lottery. Things turn worse and therefore she finally decides to say yes to Jackson’s offer. He deceitfully arranges the outcome of the lottery which leads to LuAnn winning a whopping $100,000,000.
